Practice Overview
Ryan first joined the firm as a summer student in 2024 and returned in June 2025 as an articled clerk. After being called to the Nova Scotia Bar in June 2026, he joined the firm as an associate lawyer. Ryan maintains a growing practice focused on insurance litigation and marine law, working closely with clients and colleagues across a broad range of matters.
About
Ryan Quigley is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law and holds a Political Science degree from St. Francis Xavier University. Before law school, Ryan served in the Canadian Coast Guard, leading search and rescue operations and working with maritime communities. This experience deepened his appreciation for the maritime industry and the unique communities connected to it.
Ryan enjoys connecting with people, whether sharing stories from his time in the Coast Guard or discovering a new local restaurant. Outside the office, you can often find him exploring local cuisine, events, and music in Halifax and Fredericton, or training for show jumping competitions with his horse, “Time Machine.”
