In Memoriam - Wayne Francis
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Wayne Francis in December 2024. Wayne was an integral part of our firm for nearly 20 years, and Managing Partner since 2021. He was known for his dedication, expertise, and commitment to clients and colleagues alike. He will be deeply missed by all of us at RWR.

Wayne was our subrogation team leader. He worked successfully with insurers seeking recovery on personal and commercial claims throughout Atlantic Canada. In particular, he secured many successful recoveries of fire and flood damages relating to defective products.
Wayne also did a wide variety of insurance defence work for many national and international insurers, with a focus on construction-related claims and personal injury matters. He successfully appeared before all levels of Courts in Nova Scotia, including as lead counsel in several insurance-related trials.
Wayne was recognized by Lexpert as a Leading Practitioner in the area of Litigation – Commercial Insurance, in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
